Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 12, 2026
Talkeeper ("we," "our," "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website and services.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following types of information when you interact with us:
- Contact details you provide when you book an intro call, call one of our phone lines, email us, or become a client. This may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, and billing details.
- Call data when you call a Talkeeper-answered line, including your phone number, the date and time of the call, and, as described in the next section, a recording and transcript of the call.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device information that web servers log automatically when you visit the site.
2. Call recording and AI processing
Talkeeper is an AI call answering service. Calls placed to phone lines answered by Talkeeper, including our demonstration line at (833) 309-3857 and client lines our service answers, are handled by an AI agent and may be recorded and transcribed.
- Recordings and transcripts are used to deliver the service: booking appointments, logging call notes to calendars and CRMs, quality assurance, and troubleshooting.
- Where the law of your state requires the consent of everyone on a call to record it, including Florida, notice is provided and your continued participation in the call after that notice constitutes your consent. If you do not wish to be recorded, you may hang up and contact us by email instead.
- For calls we answer on behalf of a client business, the recording and transcript are shared with that business as part of the service.
3. Text messages
If you provide your mobile number during a call and agree to receive a booking confirmation, we will send you a text message confirming your appointment. Message and data rates may apply. These are transactional messages tied to your booking, not marketing messages. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further texts.
4. How we use your information
- To deliver and improve our services and website.
- To schedule, confirm, and manage appointments and intro calls.
- To respond to inquiries and provide support.
- To process payments for clients and provide billing records.
- To send service updates and, where you have opted in, other communications, with the option to unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
5. How we protect your information
- Transport encryption (TLS) protects information in transit to and from our website and service systems.
- Access to call recordings, transcripts, and client data is restricted to personnel and systems that need it to deliver the service.
- Payments, where applicable, are handled by payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
6. Cookies and tracking
This website is served as static pages and does not set first-party tracking cookies. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy before doing so. Third-party services we link to, such as our scheduling provider, set their own cookies under their own policies when you use them.
7. Information sharing and disclosure
We do not share your personally identifiable information with outside parties except in the following cases:
- With service providers who help us operate the business, such as telephony, scheduling, and payment providers, under confidentiality obligations.
- With the client business a call was placed to, when we answer on that business's behalf.
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- To protect our rights, enforce our policies, or ensure the safety of our users.
- As aggregated, non-identifiable data for analytics.
8. Third-party services and links
Our website links to third-party services, including Calendly for scheduling intro calls. These services have independent privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices or content.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Access and portability: you may request a copy of your personal data.
- Correction: you may request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: you may request deletion of your personal data, including call recordings, subject to legal obligations.
- Opt-out: you may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.
10. Compliance with privacy laws
- Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
- Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA): text messages are sent only with the recipient's consent, and every message supports STOP opt-out.
- CAN-SPAM Act: we send truthful, relevant email with clear opt-out options.
- State privacy and call recording laws: we comply with applicable state laws, including those of Florida, where we are based.
11. Data retention
We retain personal information, including call recordings and transcripts, only for as long as necessary to deliver the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
12. Your consent and changes to this policy
By using our website and services, you consent to this Privacy Policy. We may update it from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
